Important Information for Appointments
Please note that you must have signed the Student Support Session Consent Form before you request your first appointment. By completing and signing the Consent Form you have agreed that you have read and understood the Student Support Services Overview and the SISTC Student Support Policy on the Student Portal.
Appointments with the Student Support Officer (SSO) can be made by contacting the SSO at studentsupportofficer@sistc.edu.au If you have any questions about appointments you can call the Student Support Officer on 02 9061 5900
A Student Support Session will involve requesting an appointment time for a 1:1 personal interaction with the Student Support Officer either in person on campus within a private office or over a private video meeting. Please indicate your preference when booking the appointment. **Appointments are only available online while COVID19 safety parameters have been put in place. Updates on changes will be provided accordingly.
It is your responsibility to ensure that appointments with the SSO do not clash with class/lecture times, unless in a genuine emergency. The SSO will be available via appointment and also on call during designated hours:

| Tuesday |

On average the length of the appointments and time-slots available will be 45 minutes long. Depending on the nature and complexity of the issue(s) discussed in your session, the SSO may indicate that you may need to book a follow-up appointment(s).
An e-mail notification confirming your booking and with a link to a video meeting (if you have booked for an online session) will be sent to your indicated e-mail address. Please arrive promptly for appointments and e-mail immediately if running late. Please take responsibility to attend appointments from an appropriate environment and personal state. Cancellation notice of 24-hrs is appreciated as this allows time for others who may want to book. There is no fee for attending SISTC provided Student Support appointments.
The SSO reserves the right to advise that your needs may be better served by an external provider/service and can provide you with general support and direction to organise this at your own discretion. If the SSO is not immediately available, you can access free support services like LifeLine.
